Bombora Thunder and Big Deal collided soon after the start. Mickie Raven checked off Bombora Thunder approaching the first turn. Lektra Stomp checked off Big Deal on the first turn. Lektra Stomp checked off Mickie Raven on the first turn, Lektra Stomp lost ground as a result. Crook Me Kindly and Bombora Thunder collided on the home turn.
Lektra Stomp was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left quadriceps, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
