Steward's Report
The outside temperature when kennels opened at 5.22pm was 24 degrees and as such Stewards dispensed of the Hot Weather Policy. The outside temperature when kennels closed at 6.36pm was 21 degrees. The kennel temperature at close of kennels was 21 degrees.
Come On Pepper was slow to begin.
Big Holiday, Dyna Saurus and Dyna Romy collided soon after the start checking Dyna Romy. Where's Max and No Rules collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Where's Max and Come On Pepper collided soon after the start checking Where's Max and severely checking Come On Pepper which fell as a result. Dyna Romy and No Rules collided on the first turn. Big Holiday and No Rules collided approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.
Come On Pepper was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle and a right wrist sprain, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
