Steward's Report
The outside temperature at race start time was 28.3 degrees, the inside kennel temperature immediately prior to the race when the greyhounds were retrieved was 19.0 degrees.
A pre-race sample was taken from Valencia Gem.
Prancing Turbo was a late scratching at 7:59pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to diarrhoea. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Bold, Telegraph Road and Sunny's Kayo were slow to begin.
Valencia Gem checked off Marcus Joy soon after the start. Bold, Telegraph Road and Sunny's Kayo collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Bold and Telegraph Road collided on the second turn checking Telegraph Road and Sunny's Kayo. Bold and Marcus Joy collided on the third turn. Marcus Joy and Telegraph Road collided on the home turn checking Marcus Joy.
Stewards spoke to the Mr N. Bell the representative of Marcus Joy regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. After viewing the footage Stewards took no further action.
