Steward's Report
Full Moon and Cosmic Act was quick to begin. Woodleigh Blaze faltered and fell soon after the start. Full Moon was checked off Etiquette on the first turn. Full Moon and Velocity Anifrid collided on the home turn. Full Moon, Velocity Anifrid and Henessey Venom collided entering the home straight. Full Moon, Galloping Leo and Go Go Guru collided approaching the winning post.
Woodleigh Blaze was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured back and was humanely euthanased.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Divirgilio the handler of Cosmic Act regarding his tardiness boxing the greyhound. Mr. Divirgilio stated that Cosmic Act sat down after being boxed. Stewards noted the explanation and took no further action.
Stewards inspected the track in the area where the greyhound fell and deemed the track safe to continue racing.
