Whyte the representative for Weeona Wilbur regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Weeona Wilbur last raced on 12/08/18.  Mr. Whyte stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right stopper bone injury.  Mr. Whyte declared a new weight of 32.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Weeona Wilbur last raced at 31.1kg.

Weeona Wilbur was slow to begin.  Weeona Wilbur and Cosmic Sole collided soon after the start.  Taxing and Vitaliser collided soon after the start.  Superior Indi was checked off Tinderella approaching the first turn.  Taxing was checked off Vitaliser approaching the first turn.  Cosmic Sole, Tinderella and Weeona Wilbur collided approaching the first turn checking Ebonique and severely checking Tinderella, Superior Indi was checked as a result.  Cosmic Sole crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Weeona Wilbur and causing Gee Dalton to gallop on Cosmic Sole.  Superior Indi and Tinderella collided approaching the home turn.  Gee Dalton and Ebonique collided on the home turn.

Extreme Summer and Little Samara were quick to begin.  Honeysuckle Jim and Extreme Summer collided soon after the start checking Riddles and Honeysuckle Jim.  Dybala and Little Samara collided on the first turn checking Little Samara.  Dybala and Knock The Clock collided on the first turn checking Knock The Clock.  Yelredda Saint and Little Samara collided on the first turn checking Little Samara.  Goodbye Goldie and Little Samara collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight checking Goodbye Goldie.

Spritely Mac and Bintang Bullet were slow to begin.  Shanlyn Shiraz, Spectator and Sunita Lass collided soon after the start checking Bintang Bullet and Spectator and severely checking Sunita Lass.  Sunita Lass and Bintang Bullet collided approaching the first turn.  Shanlyn Shiraz, Piccolo Fratello, Ides Of Jebrynah and Applied collided on the first turn checking Ides Of Jebrynah.  Piccolo Fratello clipped the heels of Shanlyn Shiraz on the first turn severely checking Piccolo Fratello which stumbled.  Shanlyn Shiraz eased on the first turn and collided with Applied both greyhounds raced wide and lost ground as a result.  Piccolo Fratello and Ides Of Jebrynah collided approaching the home turn checking Ides Of Jebrynah, causing Ides Of Jebrynah to collided with Spectator.  Shanlyn Shiraz eased approaching the home turn and collided several times with Applied severely checking both greyhounds.  Sunita Lass and Ides of Jebrynah collided on the home turn.  Ides Of Jebrynah galloped on Bintang Bullet approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Ralph the trainer of the greyhound Shanlyn Shiraz regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn and approaching the home turn.  Shanlyn Shiraz was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left sesamoid, left monkey muscle, left thigh muscle and left pencil muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Shanlyn Shiraz with failing to pursue the lure with due committment by reason of injury.  Mr. Ralph pleaded guilty to the charge, Shanlyn Shiraz was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Akina Harley was slow to begin.  Cee Me Ignite, Boone and Valhalla Girl collided on the first turn checking Valhalla Girl.  Valhalla Girl, Tory's Rocket and Lightwood Lass collided on the first turn checking Tory's Rocket and severely checking Valhalla Girl and Lightwood Lass.  Top Gem raced wide on the first turn and approaching the home turn.

Fifty Dollar and Snip Snap collided soon after the start.  Romany Girl and Snip Snap collided on the first turn.  Takaho Tiger and Rosacky Thunder collided approaching the home turn checking Rosacky Thunder, Snip Snap and Fine For Me.  Snip Snap crossed to the outside approaching the home turn.  Sergeant Schultz and Takaho Tiger collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Coolan Flash was a late scratching at 4.08pm due to injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Healey the representative for Ishmy Girl regarding the length of  time the greyhound has had between races.  Ishmy Girl last raced on 01/09/18.  Mr. Healey stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right archilles injury.

May Haze and Cee Me Entertain collided approaching the first turn.  Philo Bale, Joanie's Johnny, May Haze and Ishmy Girl collided approaching the first turn checking Joanie's Johnny.  Mega Hazel and Ishmy Girl collided approaching the home turn.  Ishmy Girl faltered approaching the home turn.  North Wind and Ishmy Girl collided entering the home straight.  North Wind, Ishmy Girl and Cee Me Entertain collided entering the home straight.

Ishmy Girl was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 9, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Healey the representative for Ishmy Girl regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Stewards took into consideration the injury sustained and took no further action.

Full Moon and Cosmic Act was quick to begin.  Woodleigh Blaze faltered and fell soon after the start.  Full Moon was checked off Etiquette on the first turn.  Full Moon and Velocity Anifrid collided on the home turn.  Full Moon, Velocity Anifrid and Henessey Venom collided entering the home straight.  Full Moon, Galloping Leo and Go Go Guru collided approaching the winning post.

Woodleigh Blaze was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured back and was humanely euthanased.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Divirgilio the handler of Cosmic Act regarding his tardiness boxing the greyhound.  Mr. Divirgilio stated that Cosmic Act sat down after being boxed.  Stewards noted the explanation and took no further action.

Stewards inspected the track in the area where the greyhound fell and deemed the track safe to continue racing.

John's Last was quick to begin.  Twenty Tamar and It's A Wink collided soon after the start checking Twenty Tamar.  Miss Dee Meadows and Yuko collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Yuko.  Wharfies Girl was checked off Jakesta on the home turn.

Ants In Pants was slow to begin.  Why Not Ginger, Mepunga Billy and Perrie The Fairy collided on the first turn checking Perrie the Fairy and Payton.

More Despondent was slow to begin.  Solid Bling and Sooty's Opal collided approaching the first turn checking Sooty's Opal. Sooty's Opal faltered on the first turn and lost ground. Hurricane Billie and Sooty's Opal collided entering the home straight.

Sooty's Opal was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 12, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, left chest muscle and right shoulder muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

No Passengers and Aston Lelani collided approaching the first turn checking Aston Lelani.  Mallee Spring and Velocity Whisper collided on the first turn checking Mallee Spring.  Mallee Spring and Aston Lelani lost ground from the home turn to the winning post.

Mallee Spring was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Aston Lelani was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left chest muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Mahjong Ted was quick to begin.  Fallen Star was slow to begin.  Lady Spur was checked off Mahjong Ted on the home turn and collided with Hail Galo Girl.

Fallen Star was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. V. Sultana the trainer of the greyhound Fallen Star.  Stewards deemed the performance of Fallen Star unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71 Stewards directed that Fallen Star must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.
