Limburg Gunna was quick to begin. Raweenie was slow to begin. Blackjack Cruise, Nitro Value, Bomber's Return, Limburg Gunna and Eminence collided approaching the first turn, checking Blackjack Cruise, Nitro Value and Limburg Gunna. Blackjack Cruise and Nitro Value collided on the first turn, checking Blackjack Cruise, Raweenie and Night Theory. Blackjack Cruise galloped on the heels of Nitro Value approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds. Nitro Value checked off Night Theory on the home turn.
Night Theory fell in the catching pen, and was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, and spike wounds to both hind legs and both fore legs,a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
