Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr M.Niele, the trainer of Osti"s Sprite regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Osti"s Sprite last raced on 6 May 2018. Mr Niele stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after suffering a dislocated left hind toe.
My Lil' Angel was quick to begin. Shimmy Dat Ray and Squirto were slow to begin. Shimmy Dat Ray stumbled soon after the start, and lost considerable ground as a result. Hollywood Pearl checked off Osti's Sprite approaching the home turn, and again on the home turn. Osti's Sprite checked off Chrissy Pee on the home turn, checking Hollywood Pearl.
Shimmy Dat Ray was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to both hindlegs. No stand down period was imposed.
