Steward's Report
Dyna Fiver was quick to begin. Barcia Houdini, Laile Brobio and Banknote were slow to begin.
Almani Tee Rex and Underrated collided soon after the start, checking Almani Tee Rex. Sandulad checked off Dyna Fiver approaching the first turn. Sandulad and Polly's Nigel collided on the first turn, checking Sandulad. Underrated, Sandulad and Banknote collided approaching the home turn. Polly's Nigel failed to pursue the lure with due commitment entering the home straight. Almani Tee Rex and Banknote raced wide in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr Ross Lyons, the trainer of the greyhound Polly's Nigel, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Polly's Nigel was vetted and re-vetted following event four. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left long head triceps (monkey) muscle, a ten-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Polly's Nigel with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Lyons pleaded guilty to the charge, Polly's Nigel was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
