Stewards spoke to Mr Ross Lyons, the trainer of the greyhound Polly's Nigel, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Polly's Nigel was vetted and  re-vetted following event four. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left long head triceps (monkey) muscle, a ten-day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Polly's Nigel with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Lyons pleaded guilty to the charge, Polly's Nigel was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Chachi Arcola trialled over the 390m from box one, weight 31.2kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of five of starters. The time of the trial was 22.22, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 12.5L. Chachi Arcola was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Michael Davidson, the trainer of Thera Cee, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Therea Cee last raced on 9 January 2018. Mr Davidson stated that the greyhound was resuming following a extended spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Thera Cee trialled over the 390m from box three, weight 33.5kg, the greyhound was placed fifth in a field of five. The time of the trial was 22.22, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 15.5L. Thera Cee was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Call Me Britney trialled over the 390m from box five, weight 25.8kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of five of starters. The time of the trial was 22.22, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4L. Call Me Britney was cleared to race and also cleared to race in blinkers.

Satisfactory Trial Results (Blinkers) - Atomic Kitten trialled over the 390m from box eight, weight 26.0kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of five of starters. The time of the trial was 22.22, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.5L. Atomic Kitten was cleared to race in blinkers.
