Steward's Report

Stewards spoke to Mr Jack Campbell, the trainer of Great Success, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Great Success last raced on 12 March 2018.  Mr Campbell stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right hock injury.

Skeeta Storm, Flowing and Great Success were slow to begin.  Lightning Seven turned in the boxes, was very slow to begin and trailed the field.  Petey Baqui and Shorty George collided approaching the first turn.  Skeeta Storm and Flowing collided approaching the first turn.  Half A Minya, Petey Baqui and Shorty George collided approaching the home turn, checking Petey Baqui and Shorty George; causing Petey Baqui and Great Success to collide.  Half A Minya and Shorty George collided approaching the home turn, checking Shorty George.  Great Success checked off Shorty George approaching the home turn, causing Great Success to race wide.  Skeeta Storm and Flowing collided entering the home straight.  Half A Minya and Shorty George collided in the home straight.

Lightning Seven was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards established that Lightning Seven turned in the boxes.  Acting under GAR 52(1) Lightning Seven was placed on a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks).

A sample was taken from Bush Blossom - the winner of the event.
