Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Troy Scott, the trainer of Cooper Scooper, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Cooper Scooper last raced on 25 April 2018. Mr Scott stated that the greyhound was returning from an extended spell.
Cooper Scooper, Trium and Rocket Tears were slow to begin. Balance and Ice Cold Yug collided soon after the start. Mercedes Red, Balance and Katlin collided on the first turn, checking Balance, and severely checking Katlin which stumbled, raced wide, contacted the outside rail and fell. Cooper Scooper and Rocket Tears collided approaching the second turn, checking Cooper Scooper.
Katlin was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to left foreleg dew claw and left hock, laceration to the left foreleg foot and a left foreleg P3 toe injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
