Steward's Report
Bud Moran and She's A Mitzi collided soon after the start. Agent Que checked off Chachi Arcola soon after the start, checking Agent Que, causing Agent Que, She's A Mitzi and Bud Moran to collide; Agent Que fell as a result, severely checking Bud Moran. Seducing crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, causing Seducing, Seaside Shuffle and She's A Mitzi to collide, severely checking Seaside Shuffle and She's A Mitzi and causing Seaside Shuffle to check off Chachi Arcola; Seducing contacted the running rail and fell, and then ran on the inside of the track. Brakae and Hurricane Rose collided approaching the first turn. Brakae marred the running of Hurricane Rose approaching the home turn and again in the home straight, checking both greyhounds. Chachi Arcola eased and shifted out approaching the home turn, clipping the heels of Brakae and falling as a result.
Chachi Arcola was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left hindleg calf and right hindleg thigh muscle injuries, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will speak with trainer L. Morshead regarding the racing manners of Chachi Arcola at a date to be determined.
Brakae was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the right hindleg foot. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr David Willcocks, the owner of the greyhound Brakae, regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Brakae with marring. Mr Willcocks pleaded guilty to the charge, Brakae was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
Bud Moran was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left foreleg monkey muscle injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
Agent Que was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg monkey muscle injury and abrasions to the left and right foreleg feet, a five day stand down period was imposed.
Seducing was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the stopper pad, stifle and dew claw, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
