Wolfie's Squeeze was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right hamstring.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Simply Smarter was slow to begin.  Mahjong Magic crossed to the outside soon after the start checking Ebonique, Piparae and Simply Smarter.  Destini Exactor and Galloping Wytee collided approaching the first turn checking Galloping Wytee.  Simply Smarter checked off Shrek's Typhoon approaching the first turn.  Mahjong Magic, Destini Exactor and Go Zippy Go collided on the first turn checking Destini Exactor and Galloping Wytee and severely checking Go Zippy Go and Piparae; Piparae stumbled and raced wide as a result.

Piparae was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right calf muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Sonny Micawber.

Sole Elusion, Why Not Macca and Sonny Micawber were slow to begin.  Fiesty Girl and Always Alone collided approaching the first turn.  Precious Metal, Fiesty Girl and Always Alone collided on the first turn severely checking Fiesty Girl and Always Alone; Precious Metal fell as a result.  Sole Elusion and Taxing collided on the first turn.  Sole Elusion checked off Taxing on the home turn.  Sole Elusion and Why Not Macca collided entering the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Precious Metal was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right wrist.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Creative Playboy, Romany Girl and Bumper Farrell were slow to begin.  Shrek's Rusty and Psychedelic Jay collided soon after the start.  Shrek's Rusty checked off Romany Girl on the first turn checking Psychedelic Jay.  Dyna Alice, Creative Playboy and Tempered collided on the first turn checking Creative Playboy.  Tempered, Shrek's Rusty and Psychedelic Jay collided approaching the second turn checking Psychedelic Jay.  Dyna Alice and Creative Playboy collided entering the back straight severely checking Dyna Alice.  Tempered checked off Shrek's Rusty entering the back straight.  Bumper Farrell raced wide in the back straight.

Resplando, Hunkapapa and Tiggerlong Ray were slow to begin.  Deano's Smidge crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Quest For Glory, Spokane Flick, Pink Floyd and Resplando.  Spokane Flick and Deano's Smidge collided on the first turn.  Resplando checked off Deano's Smidge approaching the second turn.

Resplando was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to its head and a spike wound to its left achillies.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Ayo Joy, the winner of the event.

Flying Storm and Dyna Xerox were slow to begin.  Mood Swings, All Dolled Up and Hannah Bear collided on the first turn checking Mood Swings and Dyna Xerox.  Pattaya Paul, Flying Storm and Temujin collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Mood Swings checked off All Dolled Up approaching the second turn and raced wide checking Dyna Xerox and severely checking Pattaya Paul.  Mood Swings and Pattaya Paul collided on the second turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Dewan, the trainer of Dewana Special regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Dewana Special last raced on 25th April 2018.  Mr. Dewan stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left triangle injury

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Graham, the trainer of the greyhound Woodleigh Blue regarding the drop back in distance to 520m tonight from it's recent starts over significantly longer distances. Mr. Graham stated that he often drops Woodleigh Blue back in distance after several starts over the distance to sharpen up the greyhound.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dewana Special.

This race was delayed by approximately 1.5 minutes due to operational delays in the kennelling area.

Rodeo was slow to begin.  Come Home and Toss The Dice collided soon after the start.  Python Pride, Fast Izzi and Woodleigh Blue collided approaching the first turn checking Woodleigh Blue.  Toss The Dice, Python Pride and Come Home collided on the first turn checking Come Home which brushed the running rail.  Fast Izzi checked off Rodeo on the first turn and raced wide checking Rodeo.

Come Home was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its left monkey muscle and left fibula.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Woodleigh Blue was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right hock.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Nitroniun.

Nitronium was slow to begin.  Penny Pop and Desiree Dancer collided several times from the home turn into the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Tiggerlong Rock and Desiree Dancer collided approaching the winning post.

Mr Gregory Graham, trainer of Rhyan's Return declared a new weight of 32.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).Rhyan's Return last raced at 31.8kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Beluga Diamond.

Dyna Drew was slow to begin.  Dyna Winter, Champagne Luxe, Saintly Jack and Marlow's Angel collided approaching the first turn.  Saintly Jack, Marlow's Angel and Rhyan's Return collided on the first turn checking Saintly Jack and Marlow's Angel.

Mr. P. Trim, trainer of Magic Euphoria declared a new weight of 27.5kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Magic Euphoria last raced at 26.4kgs.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Elliot, the trainer of Shirley Bass regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Shirley Bass last raced on 17th April 2018.  Mr. Elliot stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right back muscle injury

Shirley Bass was quick to begin.  Baggy's Request, Goorawin and Annaley Rooka were slow to begin.  Annaley Rooka and Anita's Girl collided soon after the start.  Shirley Bass checked off Mousey McCoy approaching the first turn.  Goorawin and Annaley Rooka collided on the first turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Edwards regarding the direction that the greyhound Why Not Senor be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2), Stewards directed that the box first be removed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Mother Monster.

Luna Evening was quick to begin.  Jiggy's Luck, Buck The Jockey and Mother Monster collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Lektra Blicavs checked off Pistol on the first turn.

Kylo Ren trialled over the 311 metre distance from box 1, weight 32.4kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 17.95.  The greyhound won by a margin of 6.25 lengths.  Kylo Ren was cleared.
