Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr R Matthyssen, the kennel representative for Paris Marie, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Paris Marie last raced on 3rd April 2018. Mr Matthyssen stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following an extended spell.
A pre-race sample was taken from Paris Marie.
Cheers To That was very slow to begin (4L).
Paris Marie and Don's Shredder collided approaching the first turn. Starbright Toby, Paris Marie and Sandulad collided on the first turn, checking Paris Marie. Toni Toni Toni and Don's Shredder collided on the first turn, severely checking Toni Toni Toni which contacted the running rail and collided with Cheers To That. Paris Marie raced wide on the home turn.
Toni Toni Toni was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left long head triceps (monkey) muscle. A ten-day stand down period was imposed.
Don's Shredder was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury.
