Steward's Report
Navajo Bear, Fernando Express and Benali were slow to begin.
Lila Bale and Dyna Hunter collided approaching the first turn checking Lila Bale. Navajo Bear and Fernando Express collided approaching the first turn. Hasten Slowly, Dyna Hunter and Striker Light collided on the first turn checking Striker Light, Hasten Slowly and severely checking Dyna Hunter, Fernando Express, Navajo Bear and Benali, causing Navajo Bear and Fernando Express to fall and Benali to raced wide. Hasten Slowly and Lila Bale collided on the second turn checking Lila Bale. Lila Bale and Dyan Hunter collided entering the back straight. Hasten Slowly and Striker Light collided on the home turn.
Navajo Bear was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left deltoid injury and left shoulder muscle soreness, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Fernando Express was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right radius/ulna fracture and was humanely euthanased.
