Boney Power was quick to begin. Zipping Kay, Rock Me Xanthe, Spark Joy and Big Unit were slow to begin. Urana Hope was very slow to begin (4 lengths).

Rock Me Xanthe visibly eased approaching the first turn. Violation checked off Boney Power on the first turn. Wenona Bale checked off Violation approaching the home turn and raced wide, severely checking Spark Joy and Big Unit. Rock Me Xanthe checked off Spark Joy on the home turn. Zipping Kay and Violation collided in the home straight. Urana Hope tailed off throughout the event.

Rock Me Xanthe underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury. Trainer, Mr Ian Dann declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr Ian Dann, the Trainer of Rock Me Xanthe regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Rock Me Xanthe was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Dann pleaded not guilty to the charge, Rock Me Xanthe was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Urana Hope underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apprent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Mr Simon Mallia, the Trainer of Urana Hope regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Urana Hope must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Big Unit underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left wrist injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Oliver Lee and Fran Keeping were slow to begin. 

Chase 'Em Spolly and Fab Senorita collided soon after the start checking Fab Senorita. Fran Keeping checked off Cheeky Bumpa approaching the first turn. Young Jebrynah checked off Chase 'Em Spolly approaching the first turn. Chase 'Em Spolly and Krisbar Immy collided on the first turn checking Krisbar Immy. Cheeky Bumpa checked off Young Jebrynah approaching the home turn. Fab Senorita checked off Krisbar Immy apporaching the home turn. Fran Keeping and Cheeky Bumpa collided on the home turn checking Cheeky Bumpa. Rosie Cotton and Oliver Lee collided on the home turn. Chase 'Em Spolly raced wide in the home straight. 

On Degoey was slow to begin.

Shrek's Rusty and Piparae collided approaching the first turn. Volcanic Winter and Shrek's Rusty collided on the first turn checking Volcanic Winter and severely checking Shrek's Rusty, On Degoey fell as a result. Volcanic Winter checked off Navy Storm approaching the home turn checking Navy Storm. 

Shrek's Rusty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

On Degoey underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the left medial foreleg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Dyna Winter - Late scratching at 6:18pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr Steven Collins was fined $100.

Winlock Casper, Vitaliser and Ivey's Affair were slow to begin. 

Winlock Casper checked off Desiree Dancer on the first turn checking Desiree Dancer. Vitaliser checked off Why Not Bazzar on the first turn. Ivey's Affair raced wide on the first turn and again in the home straight. 

Facing The Music was quick to begin. Sweet Gabriella was slow to begin. 

One Thrill, Bayonet and Sweet Gabriella collided soon after the start checking Bayonet and Sweet Gabriella. One Thrill galloped on Limerick Icon on the first turn checking Staggerism, severely checking Limerick Icon, One Thrill and Mindil Beach. Looby Sky and Staggerism collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds. 

Limerick Icon underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to the left and right calf muscles. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Dex's Affair was quick to begin. Rodeo and Light The Track were slow to begin. 

Romany Girl checked off Thumb A Ride approaching the first turn. Rodeo and Light The Track collided approaching the first turn. Dex's Affair raced wide approaching the second turn. Rodeo raced wide in the back straight. Light The Track and Thumb A Ride collided on the third turn. 

Spin The Trolley was slow to begin.

Eddie, Mrs. Flinstone and Lady Bang Bang collided on the first turn checking Eddie, Blondie Locks, Spin The Trolley and severely checking Mrs. Flinstone and Lady Bang Bang, Mrs. Flinstone stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result. Yuken Merry galloped on Lightwood Lass on the second turn checking Seve Rose and Yuken Merry. Eddie checked off Seve Rose approaching the home turn. Seve Rose, Blondie Locks and Eddie collided approaching the winning post. 

Mrs. Flinstone underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left wrist. No stand down period was imposed.

Noaki Colour and Magnus Keroma collided approaching the second turn. Bejarano checked off Noaki Colour approaching the third turn. Bejarano and Water Colour collided entering the home straight. 

Kel Knight and Bloke's Advice were slow to begin.

Lucas Rose checked off Cricket's Dash approaching the first turn. Bloke's Advice galloped on Winlock Strecker approaching the home turn severely checking Winlock Strecker which lost ground as a result. Indira's Girl checked off Why Not Leo on the home turn. Indira's Girl and Winlock Strecker collided entering the home straight. 

Winlock Strecker underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Trap Queen and Able Bess collided approaching the first turn. Lost Blue and Big Bubbles collided on the first turn checking Lost Blue. Winlock Slim checked off Almapa Berisha on the first turn. Select Minister galloped on Winlock Slim on the first turn and subsequently fell, checking Dyna Owen and Able Bess. Lost Blue and Trap Queen collided approaching the home turn. Winlock Slim and Big Bubbles collided approaching the home turn checking Trap Queen. 

Select Minister underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right metacarpal. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Annaley Rooka was a late scratching at 6:10pm after it was established Trainer Mr Trevor Whitford presented the incorrect greyhound at kennelling. Mr. Whitford was charged pursuant to GAR 31(1) and fined $250.

Iona Misty was quick to begin. Stylish Evie and Ants In Pants were slow to begin.

Meehan Deano and Just Faith collided approaching the first turn. Ants In Pants checked off Meehan Deano approaching the first turn. Meehan Deano and Just Faith collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Meehan Deano raced wide on the home turn. 

Iona Misty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left front torn nail. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
