Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Robin Moore, the trainer of Little Miss VIP, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Little Miss VIP last raced on 24 August 2018. Mr Moore stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following left achilles and right toe injuries.
Arninator was a late scratching at 3:00pm for non-presentation (GAR 31). Another greyhound was inadvertantly presented instead of Arninator by connections. Under GAR 31, Mr Scott was fined $250.
A pre-race sample was taken from Little Miss VIP.
Crymelon You Cro, Crymelon Victory, Crymelon Sally and Hornet Hudson collided soon after the start, checking Crymelon You Cro and Crymelon Victory. Little Miss VIP, Crymelon Sally and Hornet Hudson collided on the first turn, checking Crymelon Sally and Hornet Hudson. Crymelon You Cro checked off Hornet Hudson approaching the home turn. Tuxedo Flyer and Mum's The Word raced wide approaching the home turn and on the home turn.
A sample was taken from Hornet Hudson - the winner of the event.
The Stewards also opened an inquiry into the bona fides of this race and in particular into the late scratching of Arninator (6), which left the kennelmate Hornet Hudson (5) with a vacant box to its outside. Both greyhounds are owned & trained by Mr Troy Scott. During the course of the inquiry, Mr Scott advised that he did not support either greyhound and that the non-presentation was simply human error. A full review of market fluctuations and betting analysis for this race has been requested by Stewards from GRV Betting Analysts. The bonafides of Hornet Hudson's ownership were also discussed and are yet to be resolved. As such, the inquiry has been adjourned.
