Steward's Report
Head Loch shifted in soon after the start, severely checking Onions O'Reilly and El Grand Knocka. Jacobite Joseph and Head Loch collided on the first turn. Red Hot Chevy tired over the concluding stages.
Red Hot Chevy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Robin Moore in relation to the performance of Red Hot Chevy, which started favourite in the event. Mr Moore explained that the greyhound is better suited to a track where there are two turns, and also that the racing pattern of this event was more suited to the stronger finishing greyhounds. Stewards accepted Mr Moore's explanation.
Onions O'Reilly was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg wrist injury, a five day stand down period was imposed.
El Grand Knocka was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
