Steward's Report
Hey Lonely Girl and Flash Fernando were quick to begin. Hey Lonely Girl and Flash Fernando collided soon after the start checking Gladiator. Cappy Morgan marred the running of Flash Fernando approaching the first turn. Cappy Morgan, Flash Fernando and Hey Lonely Girl collided approaching the first turn severely checking Hey Lonely Girl and Flash Fernando. Gladiator checked off Cappy Morgan on the second turn.
Hey Lonely Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Cappy Morgan was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound had superficial abrasions to the right wrist and superficial spike wounds to the left wrist and hock. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr B. Bravo, the trainer of the greyhound Cappy Morgan regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Cappy Morgan with marring. Mr Bravo pleaded not guilty to the charge, Cappy Morgan was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
