Spandau Ballet and Magic Octagon collided approaching the first turn and on the first turn checking Spandau Ballet which contacted the running rail. Lektra Fireball and Magic Octagon collided on the first turn checking Magic Octagon.

Happy Medium was vetted following the event and revetted following race 5. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mrs A Dailly, the Trainer of the greyhound Happy Medium.  Stewards deemed the performance of Happy Medium unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Happy Medium must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Hey Lonely Girl and Flash Fernando were quick to begin. Hey Lonely Girl and Flash Fernando collided soon after the start checking Gladiator. Cappy Morgan marred the running of Flash Fernando approaching the first turn. Cappy Morgan, Flash Fernando and Hey Lonely Girl collided approaching the first turn severely checking Hey Lonely Girl and Flash Fernando. Gladiator checked off Cappy Morgan on the second turn.

Hey Lonely Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Cappy Morgan was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound had superficial abrasions to the right wrist and superficial spike wounds to the left wrist and hock. No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr B. Bravo, the trainer of the greyhound Cappy Morgan regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Cappy Morgan with marring. Mr Bravo pleaded not guilty to the charge, Cappy Morgan was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lektra Rainbow was quick to begin. Bayonet and Thistle Smoke were very slow to begin (3L). Share The Love checked off Lektra Rainbow approaching the first turn. Bayonet and Thistle Smoke collided approaching the first turn checking Bayonet. Dazzling Bling and Spot On Mick collided approaching the second turn. Dazzling Bling and Spot On Mick collided on the second turn checking Spot On Mick. Share The Love and Thistle Smoke collided entering the back straight checking Thistle Smoke. Bayonet and Spot On Mick collided approaching the home turn checking Bayonet. Share The Love and Thistle Smoke collided on the home turn checking Share The Love.

Stewards delayed the All Clear for this event in order to view the official patrol footage of the third turn as a bird flew in front of the field. After viewing the official patrol footage and acting on their own observations, Stewards were of the opinion that no runner was affected and gave All Clear on the numbers 1 -7 -5 -2.

Fancy Francene was quick to begin. Steinbrenner and Cutlass were slow to begin. Haunting, Mepunga Frankie and Koenigsegg One collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds. Steinbrenner and Koenigsegg One collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Steinbrenner checked off Haunting approaching the second turn. Haunting and Steinbrenner collided on the second turn and entering the back straight checking Steinbrenner. Haunting and Cutlass collided approaching the third turn and on the third turn checking Cutlass. Koenigsegg One and Cutlass collided on the home turn checking Cutlass.

Kernel Panic and Flying Jamaica were slow to begin. Weetbix Mini crossed to the rail appraoching the first turn checking Weetbix Bites and Rowchester Miss. Fess Crockett checked off Clovally Granite appraoching the first turn. Weetbix Bites, Rowchester Miss and Flying Jamaica collided on the first turn checking Rowchester Miss and Flying Jamaica. Dyna Uni and Kernel Panic collided on the first turn. Fess Crockett and Dyna Uni collided on the second turn. Rowchester Miss checked off Fess Crockett entering the back straight. Flying Jamaica checked off Weetbix Mini approaching the third turn. Kernel Panic tired over the concluding stages.

Kernel Panic was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs B. Glen representative of the greyhound Kernel Panic in regards to the greyhounds performance. Mrs Glen stated that it was the greyhounds first start on a two turn track and also over the 525m distance. Stewards noted Mrs Glens explanation and took no further action.

Lektra Zephyr and Zipping Thurston were slow to begin. Lektra Zephyr crossed wide appraoching the first turn. Showgirl Queen and Kraken Dust collided appraoching the first turn checking Showgirl Queen. Bush Song and Kraken Dust collided on the first turn severely checking Bush Song and checking Dyna Garner and Lektra Zephyr. Zipping Thurston and Dyna Garner collided on the second turn checking Dyna Garner. Showgirl Queen checked off Dyna Garner approaching the third turn.

Bush Song was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a superficial spike wound to the right hind toe.  No stand down period was imposed.

Soda King, Bejarano, Vrontios were slow to begin. Bejarano checked off Extreme Justice collided soon after the start. Soda King and Another Bling collided approaching the second turn.  Extreme Justice and Bejarano collided on the second turn checking Vrontios. Extreme Justice and Vrontios collided on the second turn checking Vrontios and severely checking Extreme Justice which stumbled.

Dyna Ukana was a late scratching at 10:41am due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Tee Tee and Cherokee Fawn collided soon after the start. Neptune Allen and Dyna Darius collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Frankie Moss and Dyna Zaylee collided on the first turn. Vanna Allen and Frankie Allen collided on the first turn. Cherokee Fawn checked off Vanna Allen on the first trun and collided with Dyna Darius severely checking Cherokee Fawn. Cherokee Fawn collided with Neptune Allen on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Tee Tee and Dyna Darius collided entering the back straight checking Tee Tee.

Cherokee Fawn was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained deep spike wounds to the left hind toe and left fore stopper, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Dyna Saurus was slow to begin. Dyna Aakil crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Dyna Saurus, Angry Trip and Tekidanto. Streak Ahead crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Dyna Aakil, Tekidanto and Orina Allen. Dyna Turner checked off Orina Allen approaching the first turn. Angry Trip checked off Dyna Turner approaching the first turn. Orina Allen, Dyna Aakil, Dyna Turner and Dyna Saurus collided on the first turn checking Dyna Turner and Dyna Saurus. El Donberto and Go Slow Goldy collided on the home turn. Hot Cruiser and Proven Les collided in the home straight checking both greyhounds. Winlock Blue Boy checked off Cruising Betty approaching the winning post.

Mr Shane Drummond was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Disgruntled pursuant to GAR 33.

Cabin Fever was slow to begin. Rockin' Joe, Go Gettem Bingo and Noosa Parade collided soon after the start checking all three greyhounds. Cabin Fever and Rockin' Joe collided approaching the first turn checking Rockin' Joe. Cabin Fever and Go Gettem Bingo collided on the first turn. Rockin' Joe and Noosa Parade collided on the first turn severely checking Rockin' Joe and severely checking Noosa Parade which stumbled and lost ground. Cabin Fever and Chill Out Chris collided approaching the third turn checking Chill Out Chris. Cabin Fever and Disgruntled collided approaching the home turn checking Disgruntled and Chill Out Chris. Chill Out Chris and Disgruntled collided on the home turn.

Noosa Parade was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhond sustained injuries to the right triangle muscle. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
