Stewards spoke to Mrs Donna Dean, the trainer of Shotgun Shiloh regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Shotgun Shiloh last raced on 4th June 2018. Mrs Dean stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a left ear injury.

Trainer Mr C. Grenfell requested that Whip Allen be vetted following event 11.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left calf injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr Bryce Templeton, trainer of Snoop A Loop declared a new weight of 32.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Snoop A Loop last raced at 30.8kg.

Desiree Dancer and Kimani collided soon after the start.  Dyna Winter and Really Magic collided soon after the start.  Snoop A Loop and Dyna Winter collided approaching the first turn.  Dyna Winter and Really Magic collided approaching the first turn.  Snoop A Loop and Dyna Winter collided on the first turn causing Dyna Winter, Really Magic and Go Go Guru to collided checking all three greyhounds.  Desiree Dancer and Kimani collided entering the home straight.  Go Go Guru and Really Magic collided in the home straight checking Really Magic.  

Penny Worth and Rhyan's Return collided soon after the start.  Full Moon and Pistol collided soon after the start.  Pistol and Full Moon collided on the first turn checking Buckle Up Spud and causing Buckle Up Spud and Rhyan's Return to collide.  Pistol checked off Why Not Leo approaching the home turn.  Full Moon and Pistol collided approaching the home turn.  Buckle Up Spud checked off Rhyan's Return on the home turn.  Full Moon checked off Charlott's Angel in the home straight.  Why Not Leo and Full Moon collided approaching the winning post checking Why Not Leo.

Zambora Joey was a late scratching at 1.13pm due to injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Mr Stewart Smith, the representative of Golden Romance declared a new weight of 26.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Golden Romance last raced at 24.7kg.

Fiesty Girl and Sheza Dragon collided soon after the start.  Sheza Dragon and Golden Romance collided approaching the first turn.  Sonny Micawber, Sheza Dragon and Crystal Shell collided on the first turn checking Sonny Micawber, Crystal Shell and severely checking Sheza Dragon which lost ground as a result, with Crystal Shell racing wide as a result.  Marcial checked off Fiesty Girl entering the home straight.  Sonny Micawber checked off Golden Romance entering the home straight.

Sheza Dragon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right calf injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr C. Grenfell was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card were produced for the greyhound Raine Allen pursuant to GAR 33.

Roland View was slow to begin.

Raine Allen checked off Birkenhead on the first turn causing Raine Allen to contact the running rail colliding with Roland View severely checking both greyhounds and causing both greyhounds to lose ground, Qatar Girl, Marlow's Angel and Evie Girl collided as a result checking Qatar Girl and Evie Girl causing both greyhounds to lose ground.

Raine Allen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right thigh and a spike wound to the left thigh, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Roland View was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left triangle injury and an abrasion to the left metatasal, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Buckle Up York and Lady Alliance collided soon after the start checking Buckle Up York.  Buckle Up Leo checked off Buckle Up York soon after the start checking Buckle Up Leo, Buckle Up Leo lost ground as a result.  Maderra and Buckle Up York collided approaching the first turn.  Little Bala checked off Maderra on the first turn checking Little Bala, Little Bala lost ground as a result.  Miss Dozer checked off Lady Alliance approaching the home turn causing Miss Dozer and Lady Alliance to collide checking both greyhounds.  Little Bala and Buckle Up York collided in the home straight.  

Stewards spoke to Mr Ian Newcombe, the trainer of Zars's Pride regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Zara's Pride last raced on 11th November 2017. Mr Newcombe stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a seasonal break. Zara's Pride ran a clearance trial at Cranbourne on 6th June 2018 and was cleared.

Zippy Zuri and Mini Dozer collided soon after the start checking Mini Dozer.  Zara's Pride and Sub Zero Magic collided approaching the first turn.  Alina Grand and Totally Fab collided on the first turn checking Alina Grand, causing Alina Grand and Lara Croft to collide, Galloping Rokyto checked off Lara Croft as a result, causing Alina Grand, Lara Croft, Zara's Pride and Sub Zero Magic to collide checking all four greyhounds.  Mini Dozer, Alina Grand and Sub Zero Magic collided approaching the home turn checking Alina Grand.  Zippy Zuri checked off Totally Fab on the home turn causing Zippy Zuri to race wide in the home straight.
