Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Aaron Setford, the trainer of Velocity Korina regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Velocity Korina last raced on 1st August 2018. Mr Setford stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a spell.
A pre-race sample was taken from Velocity Korina.
Velocity Korina, Hip Hippy Shake and Minter Bee Cash collided soon after the start. Velocity Korina and Hip Hippy Shake collided approaching the first turn checking Hip Hippy Shake. Minter Bee Cash checked off Dyna Alexia collided on the first turn causing Dyna Alexia, Minter Bee Cash and Downing Street to collide, Downing Street raced wide as a result. Velocity Korina, Dyna Alexia and Hip Hippy Shake collided on the first turn checking Hip Hippy Shake. Velocity Korina checked off Minter Bee Cash approaching the second turn. Downing Street raced wide entering the back straight. Velocity Korina and Hip Hippy Shake collided entering the back straight checking Hip Hippy Shake, Hip Hippy Shake lost ground as a result. It's A Trick and Rock Johnson collided approaching the winning post.
Hip Hippy Shake was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
