Firefly Nuts and Backin' Bully were slow to begin.
Firefly Nuts checked off Flawless Bling soon after the start. Flawless Bling and Aston Lagonda collided soon after the start. Tron's Empire and Love Laughing collided approaching the first turn. Flawless Bling and Aston Lagonda collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Firefly Nuts checked off Backin' Bully on the first turn. Love Laughing checked off Backin' Bully approaching the home turn. Flawless Bling, Firefly Nuts, Backin' Bully and Aston Lagonda collided approaching the home turn. Flawless Bling and Firefly Nuts collided on the home turn, severely checking both greyhounds, Flawless Bling tailed off as a result.
Flawless Bling was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle injury, right back muscle injury and a right calf injury, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
