Stewards spoke to Mr J Donaldson, the Trainer of She's Quite, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. She's Quite last raced on 16 July, 2018.  Mr Donaldson stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a spell.

Due To Burn crossed to the inside soon after the start colliding with She Ignites, She's Quite and Slanter. Chantilly Mack and Queen Lita collided soon after the start. She Ignites and Due To Burn collided at the 250m mark. Queen Lita checked off Due To Burn approaching the 100m mark. Slanter checked off Queen Lita at the 100m mark. Cleary Allen and Back Ya Self collided approaching  the post. Chantilly Mack raced wide throughout the event.

Mr. Vinnie crossed to the outside soon after the start colliding with Jargon Jimmy, Shirdale Casey and Black Dash Three. Dyna Dom checked off Aunty Chris at the 250m mark. Mr. Vinnie, Jargon Jimmy and David's Way collided at the 200m mark severely checking all three greyhounds causing Mr. Vinnie to lose ground as a result. Dyna Dom checked off Aunty Chris approaching the 50m mark.

Bugs Boloney, Bullocky Bill and Mr. Swan collided at the 300m mark checking Bullocky Bill. Paua To Avoid and Keep Talking collided several times at the 150m mark. Paua To Avoid checked off Keep Talking at the 50m mark.

Stewards spoke to Mr M Marshall, the Trainer of Hit Me Up, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Hit Me Up last raced on 7 June, 2018. Mr Marshall stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a left fibula injury and a change of trainer.

Mr M. Marshall, Trainer of Hit Me Up declared a new weight of 33.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Hit Me Up last raced at 32.3kgs.

Mr M. Marshall was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Hit Me Up pursuant to GAR 33.

Lucky Paws, Hit Me Up and Clover Lad were slow to begin.

Aston Veloci crossed to the outside soon after the start colliding with Hit Me Up and Undectable. Undetectable and Clover Lad collided at the 300m mark checking Lucky Paws. Lucky Paws checked off Clover Lad at the 250m mark severely checking Lucky Paws in turn checking Hit Me Up; Lucky Paws faltered as a result and tailed off. Aston Veloci and Veetee Mist collided at the 250m mark. Veetee Mist checked off Red Queen at the 250m mark. Red Queen checked off Veetee Mist approaching the 100m mark. Clover Lad and Undetectable collided approaching the winning post. Veetee Mist checked off Red Queen approaching the winning post.

Lucky Paws was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Mr P. Abela, trainer of Cavation declared a new weight of 35.8kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Cavation last raced at 34.7kgs on 18 August, 2018. Mr Abela stated that the resuming racing following a spell.

Zipping Amber was slow to begin.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Unbackable trialled over the 350m from Box 1, weight 34.6kgs, the greyhound was placed third in a field of four. The time of the trial was 19.59, the greyhound beaten a margin of 2L. Unbackable was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Vanilla Juice trialled over the 350m from Box 3, weight 30.5kgs, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of four. The time of the trial was 19.59, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 9L. Vanilla Juice was Not Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr A. Debattista, the trainer of Manila Kampyon regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Manila Kampyon last raced on 24.01.18. Mr Debattista stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following injuries to the left front leg and biceps tendon. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Manila Kampyon trialled over the 350m from Box 5, weight 31.4kgs, the greyhound was placed first in a field of four. The time of the trial was 19.59, the greyhound won by a margin of .50L. Manila Kampyon was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Stinging Red trialled over the 350m from Box 2, weight  32.3kgs, the greyhound was placed second in a field of four. The time of the trial was 19.59, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of .50L. Stinging Red was Cleared.
