Wanjiro was a late scratching at 11:54am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr S. Van oirschot was fined the sum of $100.
Habana City and Mac Daddy were slow to begin.
Good One Carl and Smoke Signals collided on the first turn checking Good One Carl. Good One Carl and Habana City collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.
Ms C. Barnard the trainer of Good One Carl requested the greyhound be vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left foot, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Banjo Sally - winner of the event.
