Aston Nirvana was quick to begin.  Cee Me Ignite, El Burrito and Zipping Hogan were slow to begin.  Zipping Hogan contacted the running rail on the first turn and was checked as a result.  Cee Me Ignite and El Burrito collided on the first turn checking Cee Me Ignite.  My Uncle Bob clipped the heels of Hot Finish on the third turn.

Zipping Hogan was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Starter Mr. L. Sullivan did not act in any capacity for this event.

A pre-race sample was taken from El Diamonte.

Ninetymile Lenny was slow to begin.  Flashing Oaks and Backin' Bully collided soon after the start checking Flashing Oaks.  Ninetymile Lenny, Meehan Barney, Beanology and Wild Angel collided on the first turn checking Beanology.  Ninetymile Lenny was checked off Flashing Oaks entering the back straight.  Meehan Barney and Wild Angel collided entering the back straight checking Meehan Barney.  Flashing Oaks and Wild Angel collided in the back straight checking Flashing Oaks.  Ninetymile Lenny and Meehan Barney collided on the second turn checking Ninetymile Lenny.  Wild Angel clipped the heels of Beanology approaching the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Painted Elvry.

River Crossing was slow to begin.  Crickets Dash crossed out and Dr. Shreds crossed in soon after the start checking Loaded.  Painted Elvry, Crickets Dash and Seaton Star collided on the first turn severely checking Crickets Dash and Seaton Star, checking Loaded.  Painted Elvry was checked off Dr. Shreds enteirng the back straight.  Painted Elvry and Crickets Dash collided on the second turn.  Painted Elvry was checked off Crickets Dash approaching the home turn.

Painted Elvry was vetted following the event.  It was reported the greyhound was suffering from the thumps, after being examined 40 minutes later this had resolved.  No stand down period was imposed.

Lucas Rose, Mallee Spring and Zoobie were slow to begin.  Desert Missile was checked off Dissembler on the first turn.  Lucas Rose and Mallee Spring collided on the first turn.  Dissembler was checked off Merchant Prince on the second turn checking Lucas Rose, Dissembler lost ground as a result.  Mallee Spring and Zoobie collided entering the home straight checking Zoobie.  Dissembler crossed to the outside in the home straight checking Mallee Spring.

A sample was taken from Destini Trucker - winner of the event.

Mega Hazel was quick to begin.  Zipping Bomber crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Shady Tex.  Bejarano and Swanny Flyer collided on the first turn checking Bejarano, Swanny Flyer and Mayhem Breeze.  Shady Tex and Mutant collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Akina Daisy was slow to begin.  Bush Song crossed to the rail soon after the start and checked off Captain Jackie and Quarter Mile colliding with Akina Daisy as a result.  Sunny's Kayo and Quarter Mile collided on the first turn.  Akina Daisy, Captain Jackie and Prince Mark collided on the first turn checking Captain Jackie and Prince Mark severely checking Bush Song as a result.  Akina Daisy and Ringside collided on the second turn checking Ringside which stumbled as a result.  Akina Daisy and Ringside collided approaching the home turn.  Akina Daisy and Quarter Mile collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Akina Daisy and Captain Jackie collided approaching the winning post.

Take Home Sadie was quick to begin.  Aeroplane Tippa and Plumcad were slow to begin.  Akina Moss and Aeroplane Tippa collided on the second turn.  Ohana Sparkles and Take Home Sadie collided in the back straight, on the third turn, entering the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Ohana Sparkles was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. R. Floyd the representative for Ohana Sparkles regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the third turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Bowman the trainer of Take Home Sadie and issued him with a warning after he failed to check the clearance to leave course form, which resulted in Mr Bowman removing Take Home Sadie from the kennels and leaving the course without Stewards permission. Stewards contacted Mr Bowman and directed him to return to the course with the greyhound which he did.

Take Home Sadie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. J. Bowman the trainer of Take Home Sadie regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the back straight.

Soda King was slow to begin.  Reatily Shintaro and Soda King collided on the first turn.  Mars Rising and Reatily Shintaro collided on the first turn checking Reatily Shintaro.  Zipping Hawk and Soda King collided on the first turn.  Soda King and Akina Dee Jay collided approaching the second turn checking I'm The Poppet.  In A Spin faltered approaching the second turn and subsequently tailed off.

In A Spin was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Marcello - winner of the event.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 2 minutes due to the Veterinary Surgeon attending to an injured greyhound from the previous event.

Midnight Marzy and Buddy Blinx were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Midnight Marzy.  Top Alcohol and Buddy Blinx collided approaching the second turn checking Buddy Blinx, Dr. Leonardo raced wide as a result.  Fairy Vixen and Zippy Lynet collided entering the back straight checking Zippy Lynet.

Zippy Lynet was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 12, it was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Sharp Missile, Gotcha Mate and Troy Boyce were slow to begin.  Sharp Missile was checked off Tooka Half on the first turn checking Bigtime Bruce and Paisley.  Gotcha Mate was checked off Troy Boyce on the first turn, Gotcha Mate faltered and tailed off as a result.  Joe's Dolly and Early Spring collided approaching the home turn.

Gotcha Mate was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triangle muscle, a 14 day stand down periiod was imposed.

Ms. D. Coleman the trainer of Slingshot Storm declared a new weight of 31.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Slingshot Storm last raced at 33.1kg.

Daintree Dynamo was quick to begin.  Dead Eye Dickson lost ground approachng the first turn and tailed the field.  Slingshot Storm and Galloping Wytee collided approaching the first turn.  Slingshot Storm was checked off Zippy Zuri on the first turn.  Miss Pie was checked off Indira's Girl on the first turn checking Miss Vane and Zippy Zuri.  Zippy Zuri was checked off Galloping Wytee enteirng the home straight.

Dead Eye Dickson was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Molly Spolly crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Able Bess, Eduardo Rose and Galloping Leo.  Able Bess was checked off Trap Queen on the first turn checking Dr. Condor.  Silvagni Cubed, Trap Queen and Molly Spolly collided on the first turn checking Silvagni Cubed and Trap Queen.  Silvagni Cubed was checked off Able Bess in the back straight.  Paua Te Kuri and Trap Queen collided approaching the home turn.  Trap Queen was checked off Paua Te Kuri on the home turn.

Meeting comments:-

Stewards spoke to Ms. Carolyn Jones after the greyhound Zipping Bomber was negligently placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process.  Ms. Jones was reminded of her responsibilities when kennelling that she ensures greyhounds are kennelled in accordance with the kennel procedure.

Stewards spoke to kennel attendant Mr. C. Berkhout after the greyhound Zipping Bomber was placed in the incorrect kennel during the kennelling process. Mr. Berkhout was reminded of his responsibilities and asked to ensure that all greyhounds are correctly kennelled in future.  This matter was referred to the Club Manager for further consideration.
