A pre race sample was taken from Styles.
Tiggerlong Nosey checked off Go Laverne Go approaching the first turn. Bumble Bee Bolto and Blue Hunter collided on the first turn. Bumble Bee Bolto checked off Go Laverne Go approaching the home turn. Go Laverne Go checked off Tiggerlong Nosey on the home turn, checking Bumble Bee Bolto. Rockalot and Shannon Allen collided on the home turn. Blue Hunter marred Styles in home straight.
Blue Hunter was vetted following the event. it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr M Lloyd, the trainer of the greyhound Blue Hunter regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight . Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Blue Hunter with marring. Mr Lloyd pleaded not guilty to the charge, Blue Hunter was found guilty and suspended for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted
