A pre- race sample was taken from Major Energy.
Agent Osti and Raging Inferno collided soon after the start. Mr Diaz and Renegade collided soon after the start. Agent Osti and Raging Inferno collided at the 250m mark. Mr Diaz checked off Major Gas approaching the 150m mark. Agent Osti and Dane Daisy collided at the 150m mark. Miss Premier checked off Mr Diaz at the 150m mark.

MEETING COMMENTS:
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr Gregory Paez, the trainer of Vandebay regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Vandabay last raced on 6 February, 2018. Mr Paez stated that the greyhound is returning to racing following a change of kennel and a left hock injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Vandebay trialled over the 300m from box 2, weight 36.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 16.85, the greyhound beaten by a margin of 3.5L. Vandebay was cleared.
On Sunday, 16 September 2018, Stewards opened an Inquiry with licensed Trainer - Mr Robert Conway after it was reported that there was no Catcher for greyhound Galloping Flash engaged in Event 7. Stewards today interviewed HGA Kennel Supervisor - Mr Robert Moles and licensed person - Mr Jye Formosa. After hearing all evidence tendered, Stewards established that there was a breakdown in communication, and therefore not satisfied that any one person was directly at fault and took no action in the matter.
