Steward's Report

A pre-race sample was taken from Nations.

Black Impala, Sprint Tee, Mepunga Zeus and Dyna Alistair collided approaching the first turn checking Nations, Sprint Tee and Dyna Uni.  Sprint Tee raced wide on the second turn.  Idabelle Bale and Benali collided on the second turn causing Benali to race wide.  Sprint Tee faltered and lost ground in the back straight and pulled up approaching the fourth turn.  Black Impala checked off Mepunga Zeus in the home straight.

Spint Tee was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Posr-race, Stewards inspected the back straight in the area of Sprint Tee faltering. No issues with the track were identified and deemed it good for racing.

Stewards spoke with registered person, Ms Carole Brinsley about her mannerisms in the vicinity of the catching pen post race.  Ms Brinsley was advised/cautioned to behave in a more befitting and civil manner when on-course.
