Crackerjack Des was quick to begin. Liberal Jones and Kubla De Kahn were slow to begin. Shaina Cabang, Attack Plan and Annaley Flash collided soon after the start checking Attach Plan. Jaimandy Joyce raced wide on the first turn. Attack Plan and Kubla De Kahn collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Annaley Flash, Perfect Empire and Jaimandy Joyce collided on the first turn checking Jaimandy Joyce. Annaley Flash and Perfect Empire collided on the home turn. Attack Plan checked off Kubla De Kahn entering the home straight. Jaimandy Joyce crossed out and collided with Annaley Flash and Perfect Empire in the home straight, severely checking Annaley Flash, checking Perfect Empire and Jaimandy Joyce as a result.
