Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Perfect Rocky upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Please Stand Up, Chill Out Webby and Shakey Coconut collided soon after the start, checking Please Stand Up. Chill Out Webby, Dyna Francine and Fifteen Wheeler collided approaching the first turn, checking Dyna Francine which collided with Please Stand Up. Fifteen Wheeler and Please Stand Up collided on the first turn. Fifteen Wheeler eased on the second turn. Shakey Coconut clipped the heels of Sweet Bourbski on the second turn. Shakey Coconut and Sweet Bourbski collided on the third turn.
Fifteen Wheeler was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Trainer, Mr Neil Jones declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr Neil Jones, the representative of the greyhound Fifteen Wheeler regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the second turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Fifteen Wheeler with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Jones pleaded guilty to the charge, Fifteen Wheeler was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
