Steward's Report
Real Simple and Warrion Warrior collided approaching the first turn. Orazzi Ohh checked off He Shall Johnny on the first turn. Wilbur Deeds galloped on Shima Mart approaching the second turn and lost ground. Beckham, He Shall Johnny and Dewana Chat collided on the second turn. Wilbur Deeds faltered approaching the third turn and failed to finish. Dewana Chat and Orazzi Ohh collided on the home turn. Dewana Chat and Warrion Warrior collided in the home straight. He Shall Johnny and Orazzi Ohh collided approaching the winning post.
Warrion Warrior was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right calf muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Wilbur Deeds was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Trainer, Mr Garry Anders declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.
Stewards spoke to Mr Garry Anders, the trainer of the greyhound Wilbur Deeds regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the third turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Wilbur Deeds with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Anders pleaded not guilty to the charge, Wilbur Deeds was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
