Lance Allen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound cramped.  Stewards spoke to Mr E. Burrett, Handler of Lance Allen. Acting in accordance with GAR 71(Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards queried representative Jeff Geall in regards to the nomination of Matty Mateusz for this event after the greyhound's performance in the same grade and distance at The Meadows last Saturday night (8 September 2018). Mr Geall stated that he nominated for a grade 5 event however had been drawn into a mixed 4/5. Mr Geall added that even though the class of the race tonight is the same as last week Matty Mateusz would be better suited against these greyhounds and he expected a better performance tonight.

Dyna Forrest was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist sprain and an injury to the right triangle muscle, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to handler Jake Collins regarding the performance of Dyna Hunter over the concluding stages. Mr Collins stated that the greyhound fails to run out a strong 525m at The Meadows and was not suited by tonight's weather and track conditions. The Collins kennel will be contacted in the coming days regarding the recovery of the greyhound.

He Shall Johnny, Apache Flame and Mepunga Zeus collided approaching the first turn.  Mepunga Zeus, Apache Flame and He Shall Johnny collided on the first turn checking He Shall Johnny.  Rockstar Toovey clipped the heels of Verne Allen approaching the second turn.  Rockstar Toovey and Mepunga Zeus collided approaching the third turn checking Mepunga Zeus.
