Pursuant to GAR 104(6) Starter Mr. L. Sullivan did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Galloping Bluboy was quick to begin. Secret Of Mine and El Tigera were slow to begin. Secret Of Mine and El Tigera collided soon after the start. Secret Of Mine was checked off Galloping Bluboy soon after the start checking El Tigera. Blunderbuss and Galloping Bluboy collided on the first turn checking Blunderbuss. Lucky Gypsy and Volcanic Winter collided on the first turn checking Lucky Gypsy. Blunderbuss and Secret Of Mine collided entering the back straight checking Blunderbuss, Secret Of Mine, El Tigera and Lucky Gypsy. General Missy was checked off Volcanic Winter on the second turn. Secret Of Mine marred General Missy on the second turn. El Tigera veered out and marred Secret Of Mine approaching the home turn. Lucky Gypsy raced wide approaching the home turn. El Tigera marred Secret Of Mine entering the home straight.
Secret Of Mine was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured neck, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Bean the trainer of the greyhound Secret Of Mine regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the second turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Secret Of Mine with marring. Mr. Bean pleaded not guilty to the charge, Secret Of Mine was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
El Tigera was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left triangle muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. McMillan the trainer of the greyhound El Tigera regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged El Tigera with marring. Mr. McMillan pleaded guilty to the charge, El Tigera was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Lucky Gypsy was vetted following the event and re-vetted following event 6. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triangle muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Jack the trainer of Lucky Gypsy. After considering the submission given by Mr. Jack, the injury sustained and the interference that occured in front of Lucky Gypsy, Stewards issued Mr. Jack with a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.
