Steward's Report
The start of this event was delayed by approximately 2 minutes while the correct race rug was fitted to Simbarea after the greyhound arrived at the boxes with the incorrect rug on.
Our Bravo Rose and Flywheel Strike were slow to begin. Penny Lane Keats, Simbarea, Early Express and Our Bravo Rose collided approaching the first turn checking Our Bravo Rose. Simbarea and Nitro Hook collided on the first turn checking Nitro Hook. Early Express and Penny Lane Keats collided on the first turn checking Early Express. Flywheel Strike was checked off Mother Monster on the first turn causing Flywheel Strike to race wide.

Stewards issued a severe reprimand to trainer Mr. G. McMillan and reminded Trainer Mr. G. McMillan, Kennel Supervisor Mr. W. Barnes and GRV Steward Mr. E. Clarke of their responsibilities to ensure all greyhounds have the correct race rugs on prior to leaving the kennel block. Stewards advised all parties that if the greyhound had raced with the incorrect rug on the consequences would have been more severe. Stewards referred Kennel Supervisor Mr. W. Barnes and GRV Steward Mr. E. Clarke to their respective Managers.
