Invictus Helena was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor laceration to the right hind leg, no stand down period was imposed.

Wash Out was quick to begin.  Cee Me Ignite and Modern Jagger were slow to begin and collided soon after the start checking Modern Jagger.  Cee Me Ignite crossed out on the first turn checking Cee Me Ignite, Supercity Star, Aston Narita and Torh Minter causing Cee Me Ignite and Modern Jagger to race wide.  Cee Me Ignite was checked off Modern Jagger approaching the second turn.  Cee Me Ignite raced wide on the second turn.  Oz Wizard and Supercity Star collided on the home turn.  Oz Wizard, Supercity Star and Aston Narita collided in the home straight.

Cee Me Ignite was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind foot, no stand down period was imposed.

Galloping Bluboy was quick to begin.  Secret Of Mine and El Tigera were slow to begin.  Secret Of Mine and El Tigera collided soon after the start.  Secret Of Mine was checked off Galloping Bluboy soon after the start checking El Tigera.  Blunderbuss and Galloping Bluboy collided on the first turn checking Blunderbuss.  Lucky Gypsy and Volcanic Winter collided on the first turn checking Lucky Gypsy.  Blunderbuss and Secret Of Mine collided entering the back straight checking Blunderbuss, Secret Of Mine, El Tigera and Lucky Gypsy.  General Missy was checked off Volcanic Winter on the second turn.  Secret Of Mine marred General Missy on the second turn.  El Tigera veered out and marred Secret Of Mine approaching the home turn.  Lucky Gypsy raced wide approaching the home turn.  El Tigera marred Secret Of Mine entering the home straight.

Secret Of Mine was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured neck, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Bean the trainer of the greyhound Secret Of Mine regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the second turn.  Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Secret Of Mine with marring.  Mr. Bean pleaded not guilty to the charge, Secret Of Mine was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

El Tigera was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left triangle muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. McMillan the trainer of the greyhound El Tigera regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged El Tigera with marring.  Mr. McMillan pleaded guilty to the charge, El Tigera was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lucky Gypsy was vetted following the event and re-vetted following event 6.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triangle muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Jack the trainer of Lucky Gypsy.  After considering the submission given by Mr. Jack, the injury sustained and the interference that occured in front of Lucky Gypsy, Stewards issued Mr. Jack with a warning regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.

Eduardo Rose, Vitaliser and Midnight Memphis were slow to begin.  Silvagni Cubed and Vitaliser collided soon after the start checking Vitaliser and Midnight Memphis.  Destini Trucker and Desert Missile collided on the first turn checking Destini Trucker and Silvagni Cubed.  Tuiaki Dora and Wild Angel collided on the first turn checking Wild Angel.  Vitaliser and Midnight Memphis collided entering the back straight checking both greyhounds.  Midnight Memphis was checked off Silvagni Cubed in the home straight.

Mustang Sammy was a late scratching at 11.06am due to injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Etiquette was slow to begin.  Quick Finance and Able Bess collided on the first turn checking Able Bess.  Etiquette was checked off Mega Hazel in the back straight checking Sharp Missile.  Able Bess was checked off Etiquette approaching the second turn.  Etiquette was checked off Goorawin approaching the home turn checking Etiquette and Able Bess.

Sooki La Rico and Vandagambo were slow to begin.  It's A Thrill crossed in soon after the start checking It's A Thrill, Dewana Hand and Sooki La Rico.  Weeona Pearl and What's Up Skip collided on the first turn checking What's Up Skip and Aston Nirvana.  Sooki La Rico and Dewana Hand collided on the first turn.  Vandagambo and Aston Nirvana collided on the second turn.  Sooki La Rico was checked off It's A Thrill  approaching the third turn.  Aston Nirvana and It's A Thrill collided on the third turn checking Aston Nirvana.  Vandagambo and Ichiban Fairy collided on the home turn checking Ichiban Fairy and Dewana Hand.

Nitroniun and Mallee Spring were slow to begin.  Lucas Rose, Rose Rose and Merchant Prince collided on the first turn causing Nitroniun to gallop on Rose Rose checking Rose Rose and severely checking Nitroniun which lost ground.  Lucas Rose and Merchant Prince collided on the second turn checking Mallee Spring, Merchant Prince and Rose Rose causing Mallee Spring to race wide.  Rose Rose and Mallee Spring collided on the home turn checking Rose Rose.

Nitroniun was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

I'm The Poppet and Buzz Rash were quick to begin.  Nicky Neo and You Bug Me collided soon after the start.  I'm The Poppet and Omega Vera collided approaching the first turn checking Nash Road Betty.  Omega Vera was checked off You Bug Me on the first turn.  Omega Vera and Nash Road Betty collided on the first turn checking Omega Vera.  Nicky Neo and You Bug Me collided approaching the second turn checking You Bug Me, I'm The Poppet and Akina Dee Jay.  Omega Vera and Buzz Rash collided on the second turn checking Buzz Rash.  Nicky Neo and Valley Reaper collided on the third turn checking Valley Reaper.  Akina Dee Jay was checked off I'm The Poppet on the third turn.

The start of this event was delayed by approximately 2 minutes while the correct race rug was fitted to Simbarea after the greyhound arrived at the boxes with the incorrect rug on.

Our Bravo Rose and Flywheel Strike were slow to begin.  Penny Lane Keats, Simbarea, Early Express and Our Bravo Rose collided approaching the first turn checking Our Bravo Rose.  Simbarea and Nitro Hook collided on the first turn checking Nitro Hook.  Early Express and Penny Lane Keats collided on the first turn checking Early Express.  Flywheel Strike was checked off Mother Monster on the first turn causing Flywheel Strike to race wide.

Stewards issued a severe reprimand to trainer Mr. G. McMillan and reminded Trainer Mr. G. McMillan, Kennel Supervisor Mr. W. Barnes and GRV Steward Mr. E. Clarke of their responsibilities to ensure all greyhounds have the correct race rugs on prior to leaving the kennel block. Stewards advised all parties that if the greyhound had raced with the incorrect rug on the consequences would have been more severe.  Stewards referred Kennel Supervisor Mr. W. Barnes and GRV Steward Mr. E. Clarke to their respective Managers.
