Steward's Report
Pacific Dreamer was a late scratching at 11.35am on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to left hock & metatarsal oedema/swelling. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Diesel Turbo upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Ths event was delayed by 1.5mins due to Grafton Gallops.
Diesel Turbo was slow to begin.
Pacific Reef, Brandeen Fi, Dr. Annie, Dr. Cadenza and Charlie Haze collided soon after the start. Lektra Damagee and Dr. Cadenza collided approaching the first turn. Diesel Turbo, Dr. Annie and Dr. Cadenza collided on the first turn severely checking Dr. Annie. Pacific Reef checked off Dr. Annie on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Lektra Damage and Dr. Cadenza collided entering the home straight.
Pacific Reef was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hock, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Dr. Annie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mrs A. Condon the handler of Dr. Annie and issued a warning regarding her tardiness in boxing the greyhound.
