Steward's Report
Acting on a telephone call with Mr Corey Fulford, the representative for Keno Bale the greyhound was a late scratching at 10:52am with permission of Stewards. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from Jupiter Jones.
Lucky Millie was quick to begin. Diesel Turbo and Dr. Watson were slow to begin.
Row Tay Tom, Jupiter Jones and Surfonic Gold collided approaching the first turn checking Row Tay Tom and Philo Bale. Surfonic Gold clipped the heels of Diesel Turbo approaching the home turn severely checking Surfonic Gold which fell in turn severely checking Philo Bale and checking Row Tay Tom.
Surfonic Gold was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasion to the left hind metatarsal and bruising to the nasal sinus region, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
