Steward's Report

Stewards spoke to Ms Cassandra Barnard, the trainer of Why Not Liv regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Why Not Liv last raced on 13 August 2018 and is returning to racing following a back injury and a change of kennels.

A pre-race sample was taken from Flowering Rose.

Lektra Miss checked off Lektra Damage approaching the first turn.  John's Choice, Iggy Wiggy and Crash Reality collided on the first turn checking Iggy Wiggy and Crash Reality.  Iggy Wiggy and Crash Reality collided approaching the home turn.  Super Serena and Lektra Damage collided on the home turn.  Flowering Rose and Why Not Liv collided on the home turn checking Flowering Rose which lost considerable ground. 

Flowering Rose was vetted and re-vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Ms C. Barnard, the trainer of the greyhound Flowering Rose. Stewards deemed the performance of Flowering Rose unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Flowering Rose must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
