My Girl Chezza and Princess America collided soon after the start.  Blue Suede Shoes and Big Papa collided soon after the start and again on the first turn checking Big Papa.  Blue Suede Shoes and Big Papa raced wide in the home straight.

A post-race sample was taken from Sharpo - winner of the event.  

Double Attitude and Wake Up Wilma collided soon after the start.  Weeona Yoshi crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Double Attitude, Wake Up Wilma, Ripplebrook Tim and severely checking Jessie Fernando, checking Acer as a result.  Weeona Bulldozer galloped on Airly Spence on the first turn checking Airly Spence.  Ripplebrook Tim and Weeona Yoshi collided entering the home straight.  Double Attitude, Ripplebrook Tim and Airly Spence collided approaching the winning post checking Airly Spence.

Jessie Fernando was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Acting on a telephone call with Mr Corey Fulford, the representative for Gone Early the greyhound was a late scratching at 10:51am with permission of Stewards. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Screaming Oaks and Zefron collided soon after the start.  Screaming Oaks and Theatrics Show collided approaching the first turn checking Theatrics Show.  Kalani Amy, Zefron and Shimmy Dat Ray collided on the first turn.  Theatrics Show checked off Zefron on the home turn.

Lucky Millie was quick to begin.  Diesel Turbo and Dr. Watson were slow to begin.

Row Tay Tom, Jupiter Jones and Surfonic Gold collided approaching the first turn checking Row Tay Tom and Philo Bale.  Surfonic Gold clipped the heels of Diesel Turbo approaching the home turn severely checking Surfonic Gold which fell in turn severely checking Philo Bale and checking Row Tay Tom. 

Surfonic Gold was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasion to the left hind metatarsal and bruising to the nasal sinus region, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Garry Condon, the representative for Bekim Instinct regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Bekim Instinct last raced on 19 July 2018 and is returning to racing following a spell. Mr G Condon also declared a new weight of 29.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Bekim Instinct last raced at 27.8kg.

Tarquin Bob and Ninetymile Donny were slow to begin.

Bekim Instinct and Ninetymile Donny collided on the first turn checking Bekim Instinct.  Bekim Instinct clipped the heels of Swift gem on the first turn checking Swift Gem.  Dashing Dino checked off Sopha Gem approaching the home turn.  Sopha Gem crossed out on the home turn and raced wide.  Bekim Instinct, Romany Girl and Sopha Gem raced wide in the home straight. 

Super Attitude was slow to begin.

Spectator crossed in approaching the first turn checking Crackerjack Man.  Cloncurry Girl and Cosa Bona collided approaching the first turn checking Cosa Bona.  Super Attitude and Spectator collided on the first turn checking Spectator.  Dundee Jive checked off Spritely Mac on the first turn.  Dundee Jive and Spectator collided approaching the home turn checking Spectator.  Cosa Bona raced wide in the home straight.

Silvagni Cubed was quick to begin.  Moneypenny was slow to begin.

Walkin' The Walk and Good Odds Ava collided soon after start.  Croucher, Cavernando, Wolfie's Sook and Silvagni Cubed collided on the first turn checking Wolfie's Sook, Silvagni Cubed and Speedy Ryder.  Good Odds Ava and Moneypenny collided approaching the home turn.  Speedy Ryder and Walkin' The Walk collided on the home turn.

Rocky's Kayo was slow to begin.

Hurricane Billie, Gypsy Kiowa and Hurricane Craig collided approaching the first turn checking Gypsy Kiowa.  Franklin Allen, Good One Carl and Hurricane Billie collided on the first turn checking Hurricane Billie, Hurricane Craig, Gypsy Kiowa and Shooters Ali, Gypsy Kiowa and Shooters Ali raced wide a s a result.  Shooters Ali raced wide in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Dr. Oliver.

Dr. Oliver and Scrumble collided soon after the start checking Scrumble which lost ground and subsequently tailed off.  Mother Monster, Zipping Brandy, Vienna Gypsy, New Fire Girl and Just Blacky collided on the first turn severely checking Zipping Brandy, Vienna Gypsy, New Fire Girl and Just Blacky.  Vienna Gypsy raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Scrumble was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right tarsal sprain and a left triangle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms Cassandra Barnard, the trainer of Why Not Liv regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Why Not Liv last raced on 13 August 2018 and is returning to racing following a back injury and a change of kennels.

A pre-race sample was taken from Flowering Rose.

Lektra Miss checked off Lektra Damage approaching the first turn.  John's Choice, Iggy Wiggy and Crash Reality collided on the first turn checking Iggy Wiggy and Crash Reality.  Iggy Wiggy and Crash Reality collided approaching the home turn.  Super Serena and Lektra Damage collided on the home turn.  Flowering Rose and Why Not Liv collided on the home turn checking Flowering Rose which lost considerable ground. 

Flowering Rose was vetted and re-vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Ms C. Barnard, the trainer of the greyhound Flowering Rose. Stewards deemed the performance of Flowering Rose unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Flowering Rose must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
