Missy Meghan crossed to the rail soon after the start and collided with Black Beauty checking Terrigal Tornado and Missy Meghan as a result.  Omen Allen raced wide approaching the second turn.  Terrigal Tornado and Missy Meghan collided approaching the home turn.

Evie Girl was a late scratching at 6.24pm due to non-arrival (GAR 31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr I. Newcombe was fined the sum of $100.

Buckle Up Leo was slow to begin.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Clay regarding the direction that the greyhound Holly's Affair be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs D. Dean, the trainer of Empty Chamber regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Empty Chamber last raced on 5 August 2018 and is returning from illness.

Dex's Affair was vetted after a fall in the catching pen.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Trey Smidge was quick to begin.  Karaka, Rodeo and Pink Floyd were slow to begin.

Go Zippy Go crossed in soon after the start checking Pacific Reef.  Shifter Magic crossed in approaching the first turn checking Buckle Up Spud.  Shifter Magic contacted the running rail on the first turn checking Go Zippy Go and causing Shifter Magic to lose ground.  

Shifter Magic was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left and right calf, no stand down period was imposed.

White Minion was quick to begin.  Roland View, Mia Tesoro and Birkenhead were slow to begin.

Full Moon checked off Pistol approaching the first turn.  Galloping Wytee checked off Pistol approaching the first turn.  Roland View clipped the heels of Totally Fab on the first turn.  Roland View and Pistol collided on the home turn.  Birkenhead checked off Mia Tesoro entering the home straight.  Totally Fab checked off White Minion in the home straight.

Lady Alliance crossed in approaching the first turn checking Fiesty Girl and Miss Dozer.  Miss Dozer and Fiesty Girl collided approaching the first turn checking Fiesty Girl.  Fiesty Girl and Big Mary collided approaching the first turn.  Magic Trap galloped on Golden Romance on the first turn.  Magic Trap galloped on Winlock Rose on the first turn checking Big Mary, causing Winlock Rose and Big Mary to race wide and causing Winlock Rose and Magic Trap to lose ground.  Fiesty Girl and Lara Croft collided on the home turn.  Winlock Rose and Fiesty Girl raced wide in the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results - No Road trialled over the 311mtrs from box 1, weight 34.4kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 17.83, the greyhound won by a margin of 2 ¼ lengths.  No Road was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr F. Bickerton, the representative of Pacific Beach regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Pacific Beach last raced on 24 March 2018 and is returning from a seasonal spell.   Pursuant to GAR 77A, Pacific Beach trialled over the 311mtrs from box 3, weight 26.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 17.83, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6 ½ lengths. Pacific Beach was Cleared.

Satisfactory Weight Trial - Why Not Dean trialled over the 311mtrs from box 5, weight 30.0kgs the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 17.83 the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 9 ½ lengths, Why Not Dean was Cleared.
