Steward's Report
Bring The Spring and Roulette Blues were slow to begin.
Shady Eighty eased and failed to pursue the lure with due commitment soon after the start and again approaching the 250m mark checking Tiger Seventeen. Shady Eighty and Tiger Seventeen collided at the 200m mark.
Stewards spoke to Mr R. Morgan, the trainer of the greyhound Shady Eighty regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Shady Eighty was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left calf and hamstring, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Shady Eighty with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr R. Morgan pleaded guilty to the charge, Shady Eighty was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
