Bring The Spring and Roulette Blues were slow to begin.

Shady Eighty eased and failed to pursue the lure with due commitment soon after the start and again approaching the 250m mark checking Tiger Seventeen. Shady Eighty and Tiger Seventeen collided at the 200m mark. 

Stewards spoke to Mr R. Morgan, the trainer of the greyhound Shady Eighty regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start.  Shady Eighty was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left calf and hamstring, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Shady Eighty with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr R. Morgan pleaded guilty to the charge, Shady Eighty was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr.G. Orr, the representative of Comets Gold regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Comets Gold last raced on 9 August 2018. Mr.Orr stated that the greyhound was resuming from a right metacarpal injury.  Mr.Orr also declared a new weight of 34.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Comets Gold last raced at 32.6kg.

Miss Dangerwood and Superior Indi collided soon after the start. Comets Gold and Sarah Smirnoff collided soon after the start. Superior Indi crossed out soon after the start checking Lost Horizon, Racecourse Road and Comets Gold. Superior Indi crossed in approaching the 100m mark checking Sooty's Opal. Sarah Smirnoff crossed to the inside at the 50m mark checking Miss Dangerwood.

A pre-race sample was taken from Lucky Louie.

Superior Chase was quick to begin.

Shirdale Tom and Inter Cody collided soon after the start. Lucky Louie clipped the heels of Inter Cody at the 300m mark, Lucky Louie stumbled as a result. Lucky Louie and Chilling Story collided at the 300m mark checking Chilling Story. Inter Cody and Macs Model collided at the 200m mark. Blazin' Bulla and Shirdale Tom collided at the 200m mark. Blazin' Bulla checked off Shirdale Tom at the 100m mark.

A sample was taken from Superior Chase - the winner of the event.

Lucky Louie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Shelbourne Flyer, a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Gojek, Shelbourne Flyer and Girt By Sea collided soon after the start checking Shelbourne Flyer. Chantilly Mack checked off Superior Primo soon after the start. Superior Primo and Ruby Gas collided at the 300m mark. Gojek checked off Girt By Sea at the 300m mark. Chantilly Mack crossed to the outside at the 200m mark. Dapper Diesel galloped on the heels of Chantilly Mack checking both greyhounds. Gojek and Dapper Diesel collided at the 150m mark checking both greyhounds. Master Winslow checked off Dapper Diesel at the 150m mark.

Pa's Girl was quick to begin.

She's My Blast was slow to begin.

Molly Spolly, Challis Annie and Voluptuous Dot collided at the 300m mark. She's My Blast and Voluptuous Dot collided at the 300m mark. Sandy Lagoon and She's My Blast collided at the 250m mark. Aston Lelani and Early Special collided at the 200m mark and again at the 150m mark.

A sample was taken from Pa's Girl - the winner of the event.

In the Net and Rhomboid collided soon after the start. Newfire Drewie, Cibulkova and Big Flash Marjen collided soon after the start checking Cibulkova. Big Flash Marjen and Arashundi collided at the 300m mark and again at the 200m mark. Newfire Drewie and Porscha's Girl collided at the 200m mark. In the Net checked off Rhomboid at the 150m mark and crossed to the outside. Porscha's Girl checked off Newfire Drewie approaching the 100m mark and crossed to the outside. Rhomboid checked off Newfire Drewie at the 100m mark and crossed to the outside checking Cibulkova. 

Stewards spoke to Mr.J.Hetherton, the trainer of Crime Minister regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Crime Minister last raced on 15 August 2018. Mr.Hetherton stated that the greyhound was resuming from a hock injury.  Mr.Hetherton also declared a new weight of 34.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Crime Minister last raced at 35.6kg.

Ms.A.Powell, trainer of Rattle Gate declared a new weight of 37.0kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Rattle Gate last raced at 38.1kg.

Crime Minister was slow to begin and crossed to the inside soon after the start colliding with Rattle Gate. Hard Boiled checked off Spazzy blue at the 300m mark. Hard Boiled faltered approaching the 250m mark and lost ground and was subsequently tailed off. Sonny Micawber and Patchie Thief collided at the 150m mark and again at the 100m mark checking both greyhounds. 

Hard Boiled was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left Quadricep, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Autocrat.

Peter Galo was slow to begin.

Elusive Anake and Autocrat collided at the 300m mark.

Miss Premier was slow to begin.

Alouette Jack, Cullquin Bomber and Black Mumbo collided soon after the start checking Cullquin Bomber. Alouette Jack checked off Black Mumbo at the 300m mark. Cullquin Bomber and Miss Premier collided at the 250m mark and again at the 200m mark checking Miss Premier. Alouette Jack and Tobias Kelton collided at the 200m mark checking Alouette Jack. Tobias Kelton and Uncatchable collided at the 100m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Oliver Cruise.

Stewards spoke to Mr K. Quinn and Mr K. Ward, the trainer/representative of Topaz Warrior regarding the failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing. Mr.Ward started that he had organised Mr.D.Jensen to retrieve the greyhound from the kennels for this event.

Subsequently, Stewards spoke with Mr. Jensen and issued him with a warning with a breach of GAR 46(2) in that he failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound Topaz Warrior. 

Oliver Cruise was slow to begin.

Hey Shaza Fozz, Topaz Warrior and Unbackable collided soon after the start. Raweenie and Argyle Lucifer collided soon after the start. Eight Bells Toll and Dontron collided soon after the start. Oliver Cruise, Hey Shaza Fozz and Topaz Warrior collided several times from the 300m mark to the 250m mark checking all greyhounds. Oliver Cruise and Topaz Warrior collided at the 100m mark. Hey Shaza Fozz and Eight Bells Toll collided at the 50m mark checking Eight Bells Toll.

Unbackable was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr M. Filomeno the trainer of the greyhound Unbackable. Stewards deemed the performance of Unbackable unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Unbackable must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Pursuant to GAR 104 (7) steward D. Barber did not act in any official capacity for this event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Princess Marjen.

Zero Five, Bourbon An Kahn and Go Zippy Go collided soon after the start checking Zero Five. Princess Marjen and Go Laverne Go collided at the 250m mark and again at the 200m mark checking Go Laverne Go. Dashing Diamond and Bourbon An Kahn collided approaching the 200m mark checking Bourbon An Kahn and Go Zippy Go. Go Laverne Go, Dashing Diamond and Chloe Crumpet collided at the 100m mark.

A pre-race sample was taken from Doran's Grove.

Agent Osti checked off Wet And Wild soon after the start checking Big Mary. Superior Martini and Wet And Wild collided soon after the start. Groomer Mcgrath, Doran's Grove, Superior Martini and Wet And Wild collided at the 250m mark checking all four greyhounds. Doran's Grove crossed to the outside at the 200m mark.
