Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Perfect Zuma.
Jalla Jet and All Of Us were quick to begin.
Maxi Fozz was slow to begin.
Perfect Zuma checked off All Of Us on the first turn checking Perfect Zuma. Maxi Fozz faltered on the first turn and tailed off as a result. All Of Us and Yoppi Allen collided in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Fothergill, the trainer of the greyhound Maxi Fozz regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Maxi Fozz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right wrist and left monkey muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Maxi Fozz with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Fothergill pleaded guilty to the charge, Maxi Fozz was found guilty and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted
