A pre-race sample was taken from Flying Joker.
Orleans was slow to begin. Sweet Potato checked off Tiggerlong Zorro soon after the start. Yenderra Blue and Tiggerlong Zorro collided soon after the start and Yenderra Blue fell as a result. Quest Allen checked off Flying Joker on the first turn. Sweet Potato and Orleans collided on the home turn. Sweet Potato and Quest Allen collided in the home straight.
Yenderra Blue was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury and superficial lacerations on both hind legs. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.
