Mr. G. Glass trainer of Palace Guard declared a new weight of 30.6kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Palace Guard last raced at 29.5kg.

Mr. A. Debattista trainer of Nickel Black declared a new weight of 36.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Nickel Black last raced at 37.6kg.

Galway Icon was slow to begin. Nickel Tops and Atomic Icon collided soon after the start. Bashful Boy, Scissor King, Nickel Black, Palace Guard and Nickel Tops collided approaching the first turn checking Atomic Icon and severely checking Scissor King. Atomic Icon, Bashful Boy and Hala Aussie collided approaching the first turn. Nickel Tops, Hala Aussie, Bashful Boy and Atomic Icon collided on the first turn checking Nickel Tops, Atomic Icon and Bashful Boy. Nickel Black and Palace Guard collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight. Nickel Tops and Atomic Icon collided entering the home straight and in the home straight. Scissor King raced wide in the home straight.

So Say and Winlock Newbolt were slow to begin.

La Vagabonde and Kermy's Gem collided soon after the start checking La Vagabonde. La Vagabonde galloped on Winlock Newbolt approaching the first turn checking Winlock Newbolt. Applied and Ursula Allen collided approaching the first turn. Kermy's Gem and Say So collided on the first turn. Applied and Ursula Allen collided on the first turn. Applied galloped on Ursula Allen on the first turn checking Applied and severely checking Through. Applied checked off Ursula Allen on the home turn. Through, Winlock Newbolt and Ursula Allen collided entering the home straight, and Winlock Newbolt contacted the running rail as a result.

Winlock Newbolt was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hind paw. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Boston Quay, Star Catcher and Aston Jagger were quick to begin.

Husky Hoofs and Aston Jagger collided approaching the first turn. Middle Chick and Proven Regis collided approaching the first turn. Boston Quay and Aston Jagger collided approaching the home turn. Husky Hoofs marred Star Catcher on the home turn. Star Catcher and Rumbling Home raced wide in the home straight.

Middle Chic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration and spike wound to the top of both hind paws. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Husky Hoofs was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hock sprain. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Klemke, the trainer of the greyhound Husky Hoofs regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Husky Hoofs with marring. Mr. Klemke pleaded guilty to the charge, Husky Hoofs was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

A pre-race sample was taken from Perfect Zuma.

Jalla Jet and All Of Us were quick to begin.

Maxi Fozz was slow to begin.

Perfect Zuma checked off All Of Us on the first turn checking Perfect Zuma. Maxi Fozz faltered on the first turn and tailed off as a result. All Of Us and Yoppi Allen collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Fothergill, the trainer of the greyhound Maxi Fozz regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.  Maxi Fozz was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right wrist and left monkey muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Maxi Fozz with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Fothergill pleaded guilty to the charge, Maxi Fozz was found guilty and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted

The start of this race was delayed by approximately 1 minute to allow the starter to remove water from the starting boxes.

Argyle Lucifer was quick to begin.

Mahjong Heat and Fifty Dollar were slow to begin.

Tat Scooby, You Aussie and Krabbi collided approaching the first turn. Fifty Dollar checked off Tat Scooby approaching the first turn. Mahjong Heat and Fifty Dollar collided on the first turn. Tat Scooby and Krabi collided entering the home straight.

Nunniong Plain and Folding Green were slow to begin.

Atlas True Blue checked off Red Hot Chevy on the first turn. Atlas True Blue raced wide on the home turn. Cruisy's Rose and Atlas True Blue collided on the home turn. Nunniong Plain and Ready And Armed collided in the home straight. Boquilla and Amigo Two collided in the home straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Quick Transition.

All Inn Roselee was quick to begin.

Ramble Tamble, Go Gettem Bingo and Mogo Jet were slow to begin.

Dyna Khloe and Mogo Jet collided approaching the first turn. Quick Transition and Mogo Jet collided entering the home straight and in the home straight.

Mogo Jet was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to the trainer Mr M.Carter of the greyhound Mogo Jet regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight. Mr Carter stated the greyhound received interference throughout the event. Mr Carter also stated that the greyhound was attempting to race wide as the other greyhound was attempting  to rail causing the greyhounds to collide. Acting on Stewards observations and Mr Carters explanation, Stewards took no futher action.

Kiss Me Razley was quick to begin.

Magic Jet and Proven Snow were slow to begin.

Valita was very slow to begin (3L).

Lylah's Way and Tashendo collided approaching the first turn checking Tashendo and Proven Snow. Tashendo and Proven Snow collided on the first turn. Winsome Express and Valita collided approaching the winning post.

Mr T.Duncan trainer of Soda Geoff declared a new weight of 32.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Soda Geoff last raced at 30.7kg.

Zipping Hayne stumbled soon after box rise. Know Success and Half Proven collided soon after the start. Know Success and Gehrig collided approaching the first turn checking Know Success. Know Success and Argyle Franklin collided on the first turn. Gehrig and Soda Geoff collided approaching the home turn. Half Proven, Gehrig and Soda Geoff collided entering the home straight resulting in Gehrig brushing the running rail.

Broulee Miss and Tat Warby collided approaching the first turn checking Broulee Miss. Glass Half Full, Emerley Mee Too and Mini Sticka collided on the first turn checking Glass Half Full. Tat Warby and Mini Sticka collided approaching the home turn checking Mini Sticka and Adala Boy. Mini Sticka and All Inn Youi collided entering the home straight. Glass Half Full and Savannah Icon collided in the home straight.

Pa's Girl and Blue Odessa were quick to begin. Tiempo Dinero and Red Lagoon were slow to begin. Senor Asher and Emily Skye collided soon after the start checking Emily Skye. Blue Odessa and Sideshow Marjen collided approaching the home turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Flying Joker.

Orleans was slow to begin. Sweet Potato checked off Tiggerlong Zorro soon after the start. Yenderra Blue and Tiggerlong Zorro collided soon after the start and Yenderra Blue fell as a result. Quest Allen checked off Flying Joker on the first turn. Sweet Potato and Orleans collided on the home turn. Sweet Potato and Quest Allen collided in the home straight.

Yenderra Blue was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury and superficial lacerations on both hind legs. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.

Meeting Comments:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Arlecchino trialled over the 390mt from box 1, weight 33.9kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 22.54, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 8.25 L. Arlecchino was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Base Camp trialled over the 390mt from box 8, weight 36.7kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4 starters. The time of the trial was 22.54, the greyhound won by a margin of 4.25 L. Base Camp was cleared.
