Mr. Uggboot was slow to begin.

Ace Allen, Mo Daniher, Down Mexico Way and Dynamic Street collided on the first turn, checking Mo Daniher, Down Mexico Way and Mr. Uggboot. Down Mexico Way lost ground from the back straight. Ace Allen, Dynamic Street and Mo Daniher collided on the second turn, checking Dynamic Street.

Down Mexico Way was vetted following the event and revetted following race eight. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hock, and injuries to the right monkey muscle and left triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
