Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Chircop, the trainer of Milly's Missile regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Milly's Missile last raced on 12th July, 2018.  Mr. Chircop stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a right hock injury.  Mr. Chircop also declared a new weight of 30.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Milly's Missile last raced at 31.3kg.

Kimimela and Golden Moon were slow to begin.

Bushranger Boy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right wrist, a fourteen day stand day period was imposed.

Lektra Swing checked off My Word Shirley soon after the start, checking Oshkosh Myles.  Honest Keithy checked off Crackerjack Jase approaching the first turn.  Lektra Swing checked off Crackerjack Scot on the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Honest Keithy was vetted following the event after the greyhound fell after the winning post.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Falconetti was slow to begin.

Silver Cupcake and Falconetti collided on the first turn, checking Falconetti.  Silver Cupcake, Glayva and Showgirl Queen collided on the first turn, checking Glayva and Showgirl Queen. Glayva checked off Silver Cupcake approaching the home turn.  Half A Minya checked off Stavros on the home turn.  Falconetti and Silver Cupcake collided approaching the winning post.

Miss Winks was a late scratching at 6.13pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an elevated temperature. A  3 day stand down period was imposed.

Lektra Caution and Sedaka collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds.  Lektra Caution checked off Chantilly Mack on the first turn, checking Sedaka.  Chantilly Mack crossed to the outside on the first turn, checking Immediate and Tearaway Train.  Immediate and Tearaway Train collided on the home turn.  Chantilly Mack raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Chantilly Mack was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Don't Quote Me and Cherokee Thunder were quick to begin.

Cherokee Thunder crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Keely Run, Silly Milly, Crackerjack Doug and Big Deal and severely checking Bumble Bee Bolto which stumbled.  Cherokee Thunder checked off Don't Quote Me on the home turn.  Crackerjack Doug and Keely Run collided on the home turn.

Mr. Uggboot was slow to begin.

Ace Allen, Mo Daniher, Down Mexico Way and Dynamic Street collided on the first turn, checking Mo Daniher, Down Mexico Way and Mr. Uggboot.  Down Mexico Way lost ground from the back straight.  Ace Allen, Dynamic Street and Mo Daniher collided on the second turn, checking Dynamic Street.

Down Mexico Way was vetted following the event and revetted following race eight.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hock, and injuries to the right monkey muscle and left triangle muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
