Steward's Report
Crackerjack Koby was a late scratching at 6.05pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a left pencil muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Oshkosh Myles and Crackerjack Jase were slow to begin.
Nicmac Paddywack and Lektra Flirt collided soon after the start checking Nicmac Paddywack. Lektra Zephyr, Dyna Hannah and Lektra Flirt collided approaching the first turn checking Dyna Hannah and Lektra Flirt. Oshkosh Myles checked off Dyna Hannah on the first turn. Oshkosh Myles checked off Nicmac Paddywack approaching the home turn. Dyna Hannah eased in the home straight and collided several times with Lektra Flirt.
Stewards spoke to Mr. T Mitchell, the representative of the greyhound Dyna Hannah, regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Dyna Hannah was vetted and re-vetted following race 7. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right pencil muscle injury, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Dyna Hannah with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. T. Mitchell pleaded guilty to the charge, Dyna Hannah was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
