Tobias Kelton checked off Shake The Night approaching the 250m mark. Magic Buddie faltered approaching the 250m mark and tailed off as a result. Tobias Kelton, Campeon, Tarree's Ruslie and Tzar Knight collided approaching the 50m mark, checking Tzar Knight.
Magic Buddie was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a carpal sprain to the right wrist and an injury to the right long head triceps (monkey) muscle. A 21-day stand down period was imposed.
